Summer tights are specially designed to be thin and breathable, keeping your legs feeling fresh all day. By choosing tights in a skin tone that’s just a touch darker than your own skin, you’ll achieve a natural tanned look without anyone immediately realising you’re wearing tights.
Sheer tights
If you want a pair of skin-coloured tights that no one will notice you’re wearing – like make-up for your legs – choose a pair of matt or slightly shimmery tights in a colour that closely matches your own skin tone.
If you’re looking for a pair of tights that are worth showing off – whether they’re black or a colour that matches your outfit – then sheer tights will give you beautifully smooth legs.
Semi-transparent tights
Semi-transparent tights are tights that are semi-sheer; they are sturdier than very thin tights but still have a lovely sheer look. Tights made from microfibre are the least sheer and the most comfortable to wear, and they go well with a slightly edgier or casual look.
However, if you’d prefer a slightly thicker pair of tights that are more elegant and show off your legs to their best advantage, you’re better off choosing standard tights. These aren’t made of microfibre, but of (double) yarn-covered elastane, and remain beautifully sheer despite their thickness.
Opaque tights
Thick tights, of 60 denier or thicker, are called opaque because they are (virtually) non-transparent. With 60 or 70 denier tights, you can usually still just about see the skin through them, especially when your knees are bent. With 80 or 100 denier tights, you generally can’t see anything at all through them.
These tights are warm and comfortable to wear; they’re often paired with a slightly edgier or wintery outfit. Of course, our opaque tights are available in black, but also in many colours, including the latest fashion colours.
